I’m a bit sentimental.
I like interviewing people, watching movies (and then rewatching the good ones), writing essays (and then deleting them),flicking through magazines, spending time on The Marginalian (though I have a few thoughts about the UX), listening to the same 12 albums I listened to ten years ago, sending WhatsApps in ALL CAPS so my friends understand my excitement (and sometimes my frustration), and wondering what people’s outfits say about them.
Between studying French literature, teaching and putting a few magazines together, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how to get an idea across. Sometimes changing a few words makes the difference. Sometimes it’s the layout. I’m curious about why one way of saying or showing something stays with you when another doesn’t.
